Architecture and hazard intensity metrics for RiskScape volcano
Abstract
RiskScape is a multi-hazard risk assessment platform jointly developed by GNS Science and NIWA, with a modular structure (hazard, asset and vulnerability modules). This report documents changes to the volcanic hazard module, moving from a tephra-fall-only model to an eruption-driven architecture in which one eruption scenario can include layers of volcanic ash, pyroclastic density currents, lahars, lava flows, and volcanic edifice construction, and describes the hazard intensity metrics adopted for each.
